LightCast Sender App

Chrome LightCast Sender to Android is WebRTC, here is the port range:

  • m360.api.splashtop.com: 443 • turn.relay.splashtop.com:443 • wbs.relay.splashtop.com:443 - The 3 server addresses use port 443 and should be entered into the internet firewall allowing it through

  • UDP ports: 5000-65534  - The UDP ports are for the internal network communication only. You should not open these ports in or out of the firewall – just not block internally.

Miracast

Miracast doesn’t use the network in the same way as these other systems. It connects directly via Wi-Fi between the two devices. The device sending an image (PC or mobile device) has to be Miracast compatible in order to talk to the receiving device (LightCast display in our case) using the Wi-Fi Direct protocol. No router or internet connection is needed.
